FSVC has worked in Kazakhstan since 2019. Key areas of work have included: supporting Tengri Bank in developing its small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) business; and strengthening extractive industry transparency through the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI) by building the technical capacity of EITI National Councils, training civil society and journalists on EITI compliance, and promoting regional cooperation and peer learning in extractive governance.
