Improving Bankruptcy Process for Small Businesses (2013 - Present) 

With support from the U.S. Department of State's Middle East Partnership Initiative (MEPI), FSVC is working with entrepreneurs, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), professional associations, government agencies and ministries, and financial institutions to strengthen their capacity to advocate for and implement transparent bankruptcy and insolvency rules and regulations in Morocco, particularly for SMEs.  An effective framework for the bankruptcy and insolvency of SMEs is essential to economic development and financial inclusion in Morocco.  










Strengthening Financial Stability and Access to Finance for Small Businesses (2003 - 2010) 

With support from the U.S. Department of State's Middle East Partnership Initiative (MEPI), FSVC provided technical assistance, to the Central Bank of Morocco, regional commercial banks, capital market firms, and business and venture capital associations.  Activities focused on improving regulation and financial institution practices to enable institutions to finance entrepreneurs and small businesses on a sustainable basis.  Venture capital financing was a particular focus as the sector became a significant source of financing for entrepreneurs and growth-oriented SMEs.
